As I’ve been diligently following the advice shared on this subreddit, incorporating practices such as running 30x Ice ADX, engaging in Weakened Dungeons, and participating in TG, I’ve contemplated expanding my routine to include World Bosses. However, my recent experience at a Lakeside World Boss event brought to light the inadequacy of my defense. I’m seeking guidance on how to survive longer during these encounters, whether through tips other than acquiring new gear or if it’s advisable to skip the more challenging World Bosses altogether.
Currently, I’m a level 200 Blade, Overlord level 23, with Wing level 30. Here’s an overview of my equipment:

3mcr OrphiWorld Bosses vary in strength, some being more formidable than others. The key is to deal enough damage to achieve the minimum required score for rewards. As a Blader, utilizing all your shorts along with Intuition simultaneously can help you reach the necessary score. It’s crucial to note that dealing excess damage won’t improve your Cabal Return of Action Gems and Alz rewards unless you secure a higher rank such as 1-2-3. Once you hit the minimum score, you can take a break and let stronger players finish off the World Boss. Using your debuff during this time contributes significantly to the overall effort, and there’s no need to worry about idling in terms of your AA DA.
Considering your concerns about defense, Guardian Epaulets prove to be an excellent and cost-effective solution. Palladium or Demonite Guardian Epaulets are viable options, as is the Archridium Epaulet of Guardian, which often comes at an affordable price. These items significantly enhance survivability during World Boss encounters.
Surprisingly, you may find that dedicating time to World Bosses can be more lucrative than other activities, such as the daily Premium DX. Engaging in these events has led to a substantial accumulation of approximately 1.5 billion alz in just a week, demonstrating the potential for significant financial gains. The unpredictability of drops adds an exciting element to the experience, with stories circulating of extraordinary finds like the Luminous Sole, valued at around 1 billion alz in the NA server. The key remains achieving the minimum score and leaving the rest to a blend of strategy and luck as you await the results of the RNG-driven rewards.
